You’ve got the timing right, you’re in the mood – and you finally get around to ‘doing the business’. But what’s the best way to make love to get pregnant – up against a wall, or in the missionary position? Follow our light-hearted guide to baby-making sex.
(1)Let gravity do the work
Making sure your partner’s sperm is as close to your cervix (neck of your uterus/womb) as possible is vital for fertilisation. Getting sperm to swim up your fallopian tubes is the key, so give them a helping hand by letting gravity do some of the work; either by lifting your legs up in the air, or leaning them against the wall. You could also try lying on your back in the missionary position with a pillow underneath your hips to give you an extra lift.
(2)Be a missionary
It might seem like the boring way to get intimate, but the missionary position, with all that deep penetration close to your cervix, is going to give your partner’s sperm a little extra help in their swim for the egg!
(3)Stay in bed
Don’t leap out of bed and go straight to an aerobics class after sex. If you want to get pregnant, lie on your side and draw your knees into your stomach. Stick a pillow under your hips, put your feet against the headboard, and relax for a while.
(4)Have an orgasm
As well as bringing a smile to your face, good sex makes babies! It’s official – a post-coital study of women found that those who had orgasms and enjoyed their sex retained more sperm than those who just lie back and think of England. It’s all to do with the muscular contractions you experience during an orgasm, which sucks up more sperm.
(5)Do your pelvic floor exercises
Strong pelvic floor muscles. They’re good for you, they’re good for him, and they’re good for making babies! We don’t know for sure, but a few pulls in and up after sex can’t do any harm, can it?
(6)Staying behind
Doing it doggy-style is guaranteed to get your partner’s sperm close to that all-important baby-making organ – the cervix.

Stop Making It Harder on Your Body

Think about this, if what you've been doing all these years hasn't been getting you the results you want, doing more of that same thing won't get you any further! If doing 4 hours of cardio a week hasn't worked for you, why do you believe that doing 7 hours of cardio will?
If doing 100 crunches a day hasn't gotten you the results you want, why do you think that doing 200 crunches a day will? Of course you remember that doing the same things over and over and expecting different results is the definition of insanity!
The truth is that all of these techniques are WRONG and ineffective ways to workout. In fact, doing excessive cardio is actually working against your results because you are stimulating excessive cortisol production in your body and breaking down lean muscle tissue, all of which leads to the slowing down of your metabolic rate over time and deposition of even more belly fat on top of what you already have.
Also, wasting most of your workout time with ineffective abs exercises such as crunches, situps, and torso twists actually goes directly against your fat loss efforts as well. You see, the time you waste with doing all of these fairly ineffective abs exercises, is really just keeping you from doing the truly effective full body exercise combinations that actually stimulate your fat burning hormones and increase your metabolic rate for as much as 24-48 hours after each workout. You don't get that with "ab workouts" or "cardio"!
When you get these types of full body metabolic-surge workouts right, the excess belly fat starts to melt off quicker than you ever could have imagined. Yes, it IS going to take a little work though. You're not going to be able to just be lazy and sit on the couch every day hoping for your dream body to come true.
